Abstract

Lintang Songo Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools that has several business activities, one of which is chicken farming. The problems that arise from this chicken farming business are the high cost of feed and the problem of cleanliness of the drums which disturbs the surrounding community. In this service activity, it aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the students of the Lintang Songi Islamic Boarding School in cultivating BSF maggot as a solution in reducing factory feed so that the cultivation of chickens will be more efficient and produce much healthier chickens and reduce chicken manure waste so that does not disturb the surrounding environment. This is in accordance with the results of research conducted by Ramadani (2021), that Maggot can be a new business opportunity, because if it is cultivated properly, it can produce high economic value. Maggot cultivation conducted by Ponpes Lintang Songo is an alternative feed ingredient because it has a high protein content of 40-50% and is easy to cultivate in bulk, to minimize production costs in chicken farming.
