Abstract

Yogyakarta is one of the batik-producing provinces in Indonesia. One of the typical batik from Yogyakarta is written batik. Written batik is made manually by hand with traditional equipment. The hallmark of this written batik lies in the process of making it using canting. Canting is used to take liquid wax which is heated on the stove. In general, the batik making process in Jogjakarta villages still uses conventional batik stoves. Some of the disadvantages of conventional batik stoves are the use of fuel that still uses wood or kerosene. In addition, another thing that batik makers need to pay attention to is the temperature on the stove to produce the required level of night viscosity. Temperature settings on conventional batik stoves are still done manually. Several studies have been carried out to develop batik night heating stoves, but there are still few reviews about the temperature stability of the electric stove. In this study, the Kalman filter system [8] will be applied to reduce noise on the reading of the NTC temperature sensor on a fuzzy-based night electric stove system. The purpose of this study is to reduce noise or interference with the NTC temperature sensor readings on the stove so as to produce smooth and stable sensor data readings. The results show that the Kalman filter works very well to reduce noise and interference with a low Q (covariance noise process) value and a high R (covariance noise measurement), where the Kalman filter value is stable with R value >= 30 and Q value = 1.
